How to play a Powerball Reduced System 7

With the Australian Powerball at $30 million tomorrow, I thought it would be appropriate to post a strategy made specifically for 5 ball games like Powerball.
What’s this? There are 6 balls you say, including the Powerball?

Well, my strategy will focus only on the first five numbers, and I will leave the choice of the Powerball up to you. One of my favourite ways of picking the Powerball is to concentrate on the numbers that haven’t been drawn in the last 100 draws and limit my choices to these.
For your information, these are 2, 11 and 40.

Now on to the Reduced System 7:
Usually a system 7 costs $14.50 but with my strategy it will cost only $6.30.
As before, let’s say you pick 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7 for your main numbers.

Here’s how you set them out:
1         2         3         4         5
1         2         3         4         6
1         2         3         4         7
1         4         5         6         7
3         4         5         6         7
1         2         3         5         7
1         2         3         5         6
1         2         3         6         7
2         4         5         6         7
Remember, it’s always better if you play a full system if you can afford it. But this way you can play at least two system 7 games for the same price and you will also have multiple wins.

Powerball USA

I thought it would be great to start my writing week with news about the winner of at $258 million Powerball Jackpot in the U.S.

Chris Shaw, the lucky winner, had only $28.96 in his bank account and had been worrying over paying off a car that he had bought for $1000. Now he plans to pay off the car and his other unpaid bills, take his kids to Disneyland and have his missing front teeth replaced.

He is reported to work in a convenience store and hasn’t decided whether or not he will quit his job. I’m sure that he eventually will, but I love his hesitance all the same. It shows some measure of resistance to allowing money to change him.

Here in Australia, the Powerball Jackpot is at $30 million this Thursday and I will be posting another reduced system strategy tomorrow, so stay tuned.

Off Subject: Anzac Day

It's ANZAC day today and I have been spending time with family and have plans for the long weekend which will not give me much time for writing.

I just want to take the opportunity to honour the brave soldiers both past and present who risked their lives and performed their duty to protect our country.

Have a restful holiday everyone and I'll be back on the old keyboard on Tuesday.

How to Play a Reduced System 8

If you read my previous post, you would know that System entries cost a lot of money and that there are alternatives to playing a full System at a far reduced cost.

A Saturday System 8 costs $16.60, but you can play the same eight numbers for only $2.45!
Don’t believe me? Let’s test it out.
Let’s pretend that for your 8 numbers you chose 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8
This is the way you should organize those numbers:

Game 1:   1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6
Game 2:   1, 2, 3, 4, 7, 8
Game 3:   1, 2, 5, 6, 7, 8
Game 4:   3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8

Set out this way, you will always have five or six winning numbers together if you have all six in your chosen eight. Of course it is better to play the full system 8 if you can afford it, but this is a much more affordable way to play. With the same amount of money, you can play any eight number combinations six times rather than just the single system 8 for $16.60.

Stay tuned for more strategies in the coming week.

OZ-Lotto Results

1 9 11 17 30 39 44 (13 15)

No one won the first division prize last night, therefore the Jackpot is now $15 million for next week’s draw. With this life changing prize and Powerball’s $20 million draw on Thursday, who could resist playing a line or two... or at least, a system game or two?

Playing a System 8 instead of the normal 6 numbers would increase your odds by 33% because instead of needing 6 out of 6 numbers for the jackpot, you could afford to get two numbers wrong and still walk away with first prize.

Of course the bigger system games are expensive and therefore best played with a Syndicate to spread the costs. An OZ-Lotto System 10 costs $126 for one line and a Powerball System 10 costs $172.80. I don’t know about you, but I would rather split those costs and share the fifteen or twenty million Jackpot. But if you don't want to share the prize money, there are other ways of playing System games on your own at a fraction of the price.
This is a book I purchased to learn how to play System games for a fraction of the cost and well worth the price a hundred times over. What you pay for this book is half that of a System 10! And with it you can play the equivalent of a Sytem twelve at a saving of $900 for a single line in an OZ-lotteries game!

OZ-Lotto $10 million Jackpot

The OZ-Lotto Jackpot has reached $10 million for tonight’s draw and as usual my syndicate is playing 39 lines. The odds of winning the Jackpot are 45,379,620 to 1, but playing with me reduces those odds to 1,163,580.

Mystery Person scores $1.3 Million on Saturday Lotto ticket bought at Campbelltown

NSW Lotteries officials haven’t been able to contact the owner of the winning ticket with the news and it could mean that the person is still unaware of their good fortune.

Mr Vineburg, the NSW Lotteries Communication Manager is quoted to have said:
“I strongly advise anyone who purchased their Saturday Lotto ticket in the Campbelltown area and more importantly from Macarthur Square Newsagency to check their tickets as a matter of priority.”

The owner of the newsagency that sold the ticket was pleasantly surprised when he found out that he had sold a first division Lotto prize. Mr Lawrence Li had only taken over the shop six months previous and was very excited about the news.

“It’s a lot of money to win,” said Mr Li, “maybe the winner will pay off their house or even buy a house and still have some left over. Whatever they do, I hope they claim their prize very soon and that they will be very happy.”

My Lotto Numbers

I’ve been asked why I publish some Lotto numbers I’ve picked and not others.
Well, the numbers that I do publish are entirely my own (i.e. I’m the only one playing them). All other numbers I play are a part of a Syndicate and to be fair to my friends, I’ve refrained from publicizing said numbers. Of course, if you want to be part of the action then you need only to click on one of the links at the bottom of this day’s posts and you too can be part of my Syndicate using various strategies to decrease the odds against winning the Jackpot.

My Australian Syndicate plays 124 lines (OZ-Lotto, Powerball and Saturday Lotto) per week and costs just AUD$13.75.

The Results are in for Soccer Pools (aka ‘Pools’ or ‘6 from 38’)

The winning numbers are: 5 11 16 18 27 33 38

I’ve been playing Soccer Pools (aka 6 from 38) for quite some time now. The reason I play it so regularly is because the odds of winning a prize are so much higher than any other lotto game in Australia. In fact it’s also known as ‘The Game with Great Odds’. The chances of getting 4 numbers are only 1/16 for 18 games, which I try to break down further using various strategies each week.

It’s very different from most Lotteries in that the numbers aren’t drawn randomly, but are based on the results of various weekly Soccer matches in Australia and Europe. Anyone that follows Soccer can increase their chances of winning even further with a thorough knowledge of the Soccer teams in play, but the game can be played like any other lottery by choosing an autopick. Previous draws have shown that it’s still difficult to be accurate enough to win the Jackpot with or without prior background in Soccer.

Off Subject: Blacktown Police Traffic Accident

I was driving home from Blacktown shops at a quarter past eleven this morning and was slowed down by a long line of traffic. The flashing lights of a several fire-engines immediately caught my eye and I searched for the gigantic blaze that would warrant the attention of so many fire-fighters. That was when I saw the ambulance and the dozen police officers swarming around.

Still, I was too far from the action to actually see what had happened, and I soon realized that this was due to the traffic lights having been turned off. My car rolled forward slower than a bicycle towing a rhino, but eventually I could see the emergency that had caused the pileup.

It was a single smashed up police car sitting in the middle of the intersection, and close by was a traffic light bent completely at right angle. The front of the car looked like a giant had decided it looked tasty enough to crunch with the hood of the car missing or completely smashed in (it was difficult for me to see because the car was facing away from me).

Now, I’m sure I’m not the only one who immediately imagined a rookie cop putting on the sirens and going on a ‘fast and the furious’ joy ride (this is Blacktown after all), but there could well have been a high speed car chase where the traffic violator had run a red light (no pun intended).

I wish I could have stayed around to find out more, but alas the Police officer directing the traffic waved me forward and he looked extremely irritated at how long I had paused to take a look.

UK National Lottery Results

Here are the numbers for the UK National Lottery:

03 10 29 31 36 44 45

There was only one winner of the Jackpot and sadly it wasn’t my syndicate. Some may ask why I continue to play when the odds are against me, but if you don't play at all, then you absolutely no chance to win. People beat the odds all the time, someday it could well be me :P
It helps that the syndicates I've joined are relatively inexpensive and cost no more than I would pay, playing alone. In fact they allow me to play more games then I would on my own.
I know that the prizes would be split in the end, but considering the millions that are up for grabs, my share of a jackpot will definitely allow me to pay off the house which is enough for me. Anything more would be a bonus!

US Powerball Jackpot at 212 Million USD!

Australian Jackpots have never reached this high so I'll be looking through good syndicates to play some of the bigger U.S Lotteries.

The winning numbers are:

05 21 22 41 49 (15)

Not sure yet if someone won the Jackpot, but if no one did, then I'll definitely be playing in the next one.

-Update: No division 1 winner and Jackpot is now at $252,000,000 USD!!!

Tracking My Lotto Entries and Syndicates

Like most people in Australia, I play the lotto now and again, especially when I see the Jackpots hit upwards of 20million!

Because I play online as well as over the counter, I thought it might be a good idea to keep track of my winnings and the various strategies I try out.

My first proper entry will be tomorrow when I will play a few games in Soccer Pools and also sign up for a Syndicate for Euromillions as the jackpot has reached 25 million Pounds tax free.

For the Soccer Pools I'll be using a mix of Terry's Strategy and Statistics to pick my numbers. I will publish the numbers here before they're drawn and then publish the results when they're announced on Monday.

If you are interested in joining my syndicate for the Euromillions draw, click on the banner below and we can keep in touch. I'd really love to hear from anyone on how they're going. Success stories are the best at keeping attitudes positive :)
